Balloon Fiesta has officially wrapped up, but that does not mean the work is done for the people who keep things running out at the park.
The gears of that well-oiled machine are still cranking for a few more days as everything gets torn down, and that includes the gatekeeper for the vendors, Gabby Anspach.
She told KOB Eyewitness News 4 about how she got started with Balloon Fiesta.
She has been out there for almost a decade.
"I stopped in that very day and I went on a balloon ride and getting this job all in the same day and have been here ever since...just could not resist," Anspach said.
For a lot of people, the Balloon Fiesta would not be the same without her.
"We do the high five every time we come in or out with her," vendor Orin Gaul said. "She's great, she's going to be there every year!"
Anspach says she would be out there even if she was not working.
