Incredible cell phone video shows the moments after a huge fire started at an Albuquerque apartment complex parking area early Friday morning.
The blaze gutted a total of 16 cars and motorcycles.
Friday night, people who live at the complex near Central and I-25 are coming to terms with the damage.
It looks like a war zone even in the light of a new day.
"I didn't know I was so attached to this bike," said Katie Neely.
Neely knew somewhere in that fire her vintage motorcycle was going up in flames.
"My motorcycle is toast," she said.
On Thursday, Katie finished a total rebuild on her first ever motorcycle. She even hopped on for a practice ride.
"There's something about having to fix something up and keep it working and put yourself into it," she said.
Now, a charred skeleton of her bike is all that's left.
"I saw my car in flames," said Neely.
Along with 15 others, Akshay Kharat's car is charred inside and out. He was the one behind the camera, shooting these shocking images last night.
"I don't park my car here. I park it on the street," said Kharat.
Kharat has a sense of humor about his out-of-the-ordinary parking decision last night.
"I drove my car in the garage and this is what happened in the morning. So, it was meant to be," he said.
Kharat says he'll take it as a sign that it's time for a new car.
And, as ashes settle, there's a lot of speculation but few answers.
Whether or not someone did light one or all of the vehicles on fire is what investigators are looking into.
One person at the complex was treated and released from the hospital after suffering a seizure.
