KOB Eyewitness News 4 wanted to get the road conditions from drivers out on the roads this weekend.
On Interstate 40 headed to Tijeras, roads were mostly clear but a little slushy.
Residents said they always see that slush turn into ice.
At the Subway in Tijeras, they were closing early because there were no customers in sight.
Employee Adrian Pollo said he was the only one with 4-wheel drive, so he worked the entire day alone.
Then, we talked to drivers off of I-25 headed up north.
"Here from Santa Fe to Albuquerque it was really clear. But from Santa Fe to Espanola it was really icy," Ruby Montes said.
Albuquerque did not get it as bad as the surrounding areas, but a tow truck driver told KOB Eyewitness News 4 that he was busy all day helping people in the metro who got stuck in snow and mud and drivers who slid off the road from the ice.
