Neighbors in Roswell are complaining about an eyesore on their street.  A house piled so high with stuff, you can’t even see the front door.  KOB Eyewitness News 4 saw the mess and went to the city for answers.

Neighbors want this house cleaned up.  When looking at the front yard, every inch is covered in stuff.  Stuff piled so high, patio furniture is in the tree.

“It’s an eyesore," said neighbor Elena Moscorro.  “Yeah it’s bad, it’s bad.  Sometimes it's all the way to the street, but what can we do?"

She said cockroaches from the mess are crawling into her home.

“Well, those cockroaches are coming from that house into my house, and its costing us money to get rid of them," said Moscorro.

KOB tried to talk to the owners, but the front gates were locked, so our crew couldn’t reach the front door.

So, KOB went to the city for answers.  Turns out, they knew exactly which house we were talking about.

“We notified them by mail of the violations, they failed to comply so we've now cited them into Municipal Court," said Code Enforcement Administrator Mike Mathews.  "There's quite a bit of stuff.  To bring it into compliance all of that stuff would have to be removed from the property."

Not only is it an eyesore, Mathews said it’s a fire hazard.

“If there was a fire there, the fire department would have trouble getting in to get people out," said Mathews.

As for the cockroaches?

"Obviously if there's cockroaches coming off that property, there's probably something going on there that we need to look into,” said Mathews.

The owners could face a judge as soon as next month.
