It seems to start earlier and earlier every year. Black Friday is now more like midday Thursday and campers start lining up days before to score deals.
Last year, Best Buy opened at midnight on Thanksgiving night. This year, they open at 6 p.m. on Thanksgiving.
When night falls at Best Buy, these campers are all nestled in their tents. Visions of electronics dance in their heads.
"I need a new laptop for school," Johnathan Thai said.
"Laptop bundles, TV's," Tommy Huynh said.
Huynh has been camping out for the past three days, and that was after scouting it for two days. He has the first spot in line to show for it.
"After last year and that line, I was just like no...I ain't dealing with that," Huynh said.
The guys say with the earlier hours this year, they won't even miss out on Thanksgiving dinner.
"This year is perfect timing because Best Buy opens at 6 p.m. so I can just get my stuff and go home and eat," Thai said.
But that means Thanksgiving lunch for Best Buy Manager Amanda McCann.
"We're just having our dinner earlier tomorrow so I can be at work that night," McCann said.
She is working on Thanksgiving from 6 p.m. to 6 a.m. Then she is back to work Friday night to close up shop.
"It makes business sense to do it," McCann said. "I know we haven't done it in the past, but we're always changing and you have to evolve in order to stay relevant."
K-Mart is the earliest of all to open with deals starting at 6 a.m. Thanksgiving. Toys R Us will open at 5 p.m. Best Buy and Walmart both open at 6 p.m. on Thanksgiving.
Target, Macy's, Kohl's, J.C. Penney and Sears all open at 8 p.m. on Thanksgiving.
