ALBUQUERQUE -- Students at St. Pius High School are becoming an Internet sensation after making a "lip dub," which is the latest online video craze.
The eight-minute video was shot in one take and took a lot of dedication from the whole school.
"Everyone was pretty gung-ho about it," student body president Peter Walden said. "'Safe and Sound' and 'Best Day of My Life,' we figured were very good songs to show off our school."
More than 700 students in the entire school took a week to memorize the words and their moves. Each club pulled out posters and showed off their skills for the camera.
"We're trying to show that you belong here at Pius," Walden said. "And we're really trying to be accepting and be open to everybody that is going to be coming here and show off everything we have here at school."
Some of the faculty who helped the students organize it, like Mike Mares, says it was great to watch the entire student body have a plan and a goal.
"It was amazing to see the faculty and staff all just get together and want to do it," said Mares. "And be on board."
The video ends with the "Roller Coaster Cheer" that St. Pius students do at basketball games.
It also ended with a special memory for seniors who have the video to look back on after they're gone.
