A 2-year-old in New Mexico is fighting to keep her eyesight.

But her family needs $35,000 to make it happen.

How do you make that happen?

KOB Eyewitness News 4 has the story from Hobbs about an angel who stepped in just in time.

Pamela Soto is only 2 years old and she’s already going blind.

"When she takes off her glasses, she cannot see," said friend of the family Jessica Arriaga.

Arriaga said the 2-year-old goes to sleep with her glasses on.

"It's pitch black, it's literally dark when she takes them off she cannot see,” said Arriaga.

Pamela has already undergone one eye surgery.

"It didn't do much help,” said Arriaga.

Her doctor said something needs to be done before Pamela completely loses her eyesight.

"It could happen really really soon, they didn't give a time frame but it's soon," said Arriaga.

The family said their only hope is a surgery in Michigan.  That surgery costs $35,000.

The family tried to raise money for the surgery, but only raised $5,000.

They didn’t think Pamela would be able to see for much longer until a Hobbs man anonymously donated $35,000 to pay for the surgery.

So this 2-year-old can see for the rest of her life.

"It's a miracle and it's almost like an angel sent straight from god," said Arriaga. "They feel like he is heaven sent."

The family plans on using the money they raised to cover their travel expenses.

If you want to donate to the family they have a bank account at Wells Fargo in Hobbs. The account is 8962917293.
