UNM senior Kendall Williams scored 13 pts in his final home game
The University of New Mexico men's basketball team improved to 24-and-5 overall, 15-2 in MW play, after their 80-52 blowout win over Air Force on senior night.
Here are some notes from the win:
*New Mexico's 15 conference wins is a Mountain West era high for the team.
*UNM has seven straight 22-win seasons, the longest streak in school history.
*UNM has held five straight opponents under 60 points, and 12 straight under its scoring average.
*Kendall Williams, Cameron Bairstow and Chris Perez all won their 103rd game, tying for third most in school history. Perez is now ahead of Marcos White for the most wins by a walk-on in school history.
*Craig Neal is four wins away from moving into the top 10 in NCAA history for most wins ever by a first year head coach in Division I history.
*Senior Cameron Bairstow scored 21 points, his 28th double-figure scoring game of the season. His 21 points gives him 18 20-point games on the year.
*With 13 points, senior Kendall Williams moved into seventh ahead of Hunter Greene on the career scoring list with 1,744 points
