In January, Albuquerque tumbling coach Rusty Glanton was charged with criminal sexual contact of a minor after one of his young students told her family and police he touched her inappropriately. Now, police say three additional accusers have come forward.
The initial report was filed in January. A criminal complaint says on January 18, one of his young students told family members he put his fingers under her clothes during class. Police talked to her and she told them she felt violated, naming five other girls she believed went through the same thing.
After the initial report, dozens of his current and former students and their parents contacted KOB Eyewitness News 4, asking to stand up for Glanton.
“I never had any question in my mind about him. I've always trusted him and I felt like my girls loved him and were in a safe environment,” Darlene Critelli, a mother with two kids in his classes said.
But now, three more children say he victimized them. That could mean extra counts in the case and extra prison time if convicted.
Glanton owned, ran and coached at “ABQ Tumbling and Trampoline,” but he is not allowed to return to that site until this case is closed.
