It’s the size of a credit card fits easily into your wallet, but it's getting a lot of people in trouble at the Sunport.
Traveling can be hectic. Did you remember your I.D.? Your boarding pass?
How about any weapons in your bag?
It may sound strange, but TSA agents say it happens more than you think and right now the Albuquerque Sunport is leading the nation when it comes to credit card knives found in carry-ons.
Agents found four last week alone, that's in addition to the ten found in the past two months.
It’s as easy as going to a local store that sells knives.
Loren Azevedo with Tactical Survival Systems says his customers like the knives because they are easy to use.
We ran into Nathen Torres as he bought one he says he wants it in case of an emergency
“This I’m going to keep in my wallet and I'm going to use it hopefully never really,” he said.
But because these are so easy to put away TSA agents say many travelers sometimes forget they have them and that's a problem, travelers can get up to a $7,500 fine if they are caught with them.
Torres says it’s not worth it.
“I bet most people are forgetting them,” he said. “I would hope.”
