(AP) ANN ARBOR, Mich. - ANN ARBOR, Mich. (AP) â€” A man who was acquitted of murder and other charges in the 2013 robbery and killing of Eastern Michigan University wide receiver Demarius Reed is facing charges in a Detroit shooting.
The Ann Arbor News reports (http://bit.ly/1gDwcFX ) 22-year-old Ed Thomas is accused of shooting at two men May 20 after he believed they were following him. The Wayne County prosecutor's office says Thomas is accused of getting out of his car and firing multiple shots.
He faces charges including assault with intent to murder. Trial is Oct. 13.
His lawyer Lillian Diallo says she couldn't comment on Thomas' case, since it's ongoing.
Kristopher Pratt confessed in the Oct. 18, 2013, killing of Reed, a 20-year-old Chicago native, and said Thomas participated in the robbery at an off-campus apartment in Ypsilanti.
