ALBUQUERQUE -- A woman is dead and three others injured after a shooting near an auto detailing shop in northeast Albuquerque on Friday afternoon.

Police are still searching for the suspect and have identified Marcos Delgado as a person of interest.

Around 12:24 p.m., Sgt. Ferris Simmons said officers responded to 3400 Vassar Drive on reports of a shooting. At the scene, officers discovered four women with gunshot wounds.

One woman went to the hospital in critical condition, where she was later pronounced dead. Police said the three other women are listed in stable condition.

The identities of the victims have not been released at this time, but police said no children were involved in the incident.

Witnesses said they heard several gunshots at the scene, which they say started slow then started coming faster.

"There was one gunshot followed by four in rapid succession, and ten to 20 seconds later, were 14 more. I counted because they sounded like gunshots to me," Terry Busker said.

APD believes Marcos Delgado is driving a black Dodge Charger, but it's highly possible he is now in another kind of vehicle. He should be considered armed and dangerous.

Anyone with information or who may have contact with Delgado are asked to immediately contact police at (505)-242-2677.
