ALBUQUERQUE -- A man who prompted a charter school lockdown after he entered a closed bank through an unlocked door on Monday did not steal anything and apparently just hung out inside, a police official told KOB Eyewitness News 4 on Tuesday.

APD spokesman Tanner Tixier said 42-year-old Brian Kolbush did not give police a reason as to why he decided to enter the closed Bank of America branch on Central and Washington.

Kolbush reportedly used the bathroom, but did not cause any damage or steal anything.

Police said Kolbush got in through an unsecured rear door sometime before the bank opened.

The Media Arts Collaborative Charter School was put on lockdown during the incident due to the school's proximity to the bank.

Officers arrested Kolbush a short time after employees reported an intruder. He is charged with criminal trespass.

Kolbush has a criminal history dating back to 1994 that includes charges for identity theft, forgery, credit card theft, embezzlement, fraud and forgery.
