Steve Stucker



Steve Stucker is the Co-Host and Weatherman on New Mexico's Eyewitness News 4 Today, which airs weekdays from 4:30 to 7 a.m.  With over 25 years on the morning show,  Steve has been continuously forecasting weather in New Mexico much longer than any other TV personality.
 
Steve has received many honors in his years on KOB 4. Readers of Albuquerque The Magazine voted him Favorite TV Personality and/or Favorite Meteorologist 10 years in a row! He has also been tabbed by readers of The Alibi as their "Best of ‘Burque" award winner for TV Personality and/or Forecaster 9 years in a row, and has won Favorite TV personality awards from publications like the Albuquerque Journal, I Q Magazine and others.  Steve was twice selected as Media Volunteer of the Year by the Greater Albuquerque Volunteer Association, and was honored as the Animal Humane Association's Ambassador of the Year.
 
Steve is well known throughout NM for his community involvement, working with dozens of nonprofit groups, schools & churches. He is highly sought after as a Motivational Speaker for Civic Organizations, Church Groups, Graduations and Corporate Events....and may have served as Master of Ceremonies for more events than any other person in our states history! He especially enjoys speaking with students about the importance of staying in school and making their dreams come true. 

Steve may be best known for his "celebrity weather dogs" appearing on air with him every Friday morning for Parade of Pets. Tuffy,  Squeaky, Rez and Radar the Weather Pup are all rescues. Steve likes to say "The ONLY group I Love more than animals...is Children!".  Each Tuesday, he highlights the extreme need for Adoptive and Foster Parents for the hundreds of children in NM who are on the waiting list for a Forever Family with "Steve's Families for Kids."

Steve entertains viewers with a look at the lighter side of the news, his offbeat ideas, and unique perspective on life. Every once in a while, he appears on air as Elvis, Arnold Sportsnweather (Schwarzenegger), Mother Stucker, Patty O'Furniture, Dog The Weather Hunter or his alter ego, Ed Noid. He also dresses up in a colorful Balloon Pin outfit during the Albuquerque International Balloon Fiesta each year. Eyewitness News 4 Broadcasts Live from Balloon Fiesta Park all 9 days of the event each year. Steve jokes that he is the Most Photographed Human at Balloon 

He has been married to Rose 22 years, and is actively involved at church.  Steve is an Ordained Chaplain (International Fellowship of Chaplains), and the Men's Ministry Pastor at New Covenant Church.  They have three children still at home: Georgi, Kayli and Stephanie, plus an adult son, Dean.  

Steve can usually be found Poolside on hot NM afternoons...and loves to ride his Harley Davidson Motorcycle. His "Rally in the Valley" Charity Ride each Memorial Day weekend in Red River has raised over $47,000 for Make A Wish of New Mexico.  He is also the founder and president of the non-profit, UpB4 the Son Ministries and Charities. Among other contributions, they have given over 300 beds, free of charge, to those in need.
