Naomi joined 5 EYEWITNESS NEWS in August of 2011. She was born in Minneapolis and is thrilled to be back in the Twin Cities, which is home to her favorite skyline. Before returning to Minnesota, Naomi spent nearly two years reporting at KVOA in Tucson, Arizona. Naomi has also reported at WIBW in Topeka, Kansas and KULR 8 in Billings, Montana.
Naomi graduated from the Medill School of Journalism at Northwestern University with a double major in Journalism and International Studies. While at Northwestern, she was a reporter, associate producer, anchor and news director for the Emmy award winning Northwestern News Network.
In January of 2011, Naomi was one of the first reporters on the scene when Congresswoman Gabrielle Giffords was shot outside a Tucson grocery store. "Tucson is an incredible community," she says. "The way Tucsonans came together after that tragedy was inspiring to watch and report." While in the Southwest, Naomi also covered immigration and border issues, wildfires and heated political battles.
