A judge denied a new trial and an acquittal for Amy Senser Thursday afternoon. The judge also denied a Schwartz hearing, which would investigate allegations of juror misconduct.
The judge heard her attorney’s request to overturn her conviction or grant a new trial at 2:30 p.m. at the Hennepin County Government Center. Senser’s attorney wanted the judge to set aside the unanimous jury verdicts from her trial.
Senser was convicted of hitting and killing Anousone Panthavong with her SUV. Her sentencing is still set for July 9.
