Families are invited to dress as their favorite superheroes while supporting a good cause.

The Minnesota ALS Association is hosting a 5K/10K Superhero Dash next week. Participants can wear costumes as they run or walk the course at Phalen Regional Park in St. Paul.

All proceeds benefit the efforts of the ALS Association, Minnesota/North Dakota/South Dakota Chapter. ALS, also known as Lou Gehrig’s Disease, is a degenerative disease of the central nervous system that often leads to paralysis. The association provides victims and their families with compassionate care and support as well as research and advocacy.

The event takes place at 10 a.m. this Saturday. For more information or to register, visit www.alssuperherodash.com.
