Halloween Capital of the World Features Parades, Ghost Tours

The Halloween Capitol of the World is offering plenty of spooky events for families this month. Here are some scary fun highlights to add to your calendar:

Ghosts of Anoka Tours
The Anoka County Historical Society will be giving walking tours through the neighborhoods that surround historic downtown. Attendees can hear stories of unexplained happenings and explore haunted buildings. Tickets cost $7 for adults and $5 for kids and ACHS members. For more information, call 763-421-0600.

Gray Ghost 5K Run
The 5K run and One Mile Fitness Walk are open to all community members. The event takes place at 12:50 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 27, at Franklin Elementary School. It costs $20 if registered before Oct. 24 or $25 on the day of the race. Costumes are encouraged. For more information, visit raceberryjam.com or call 763-421-7130.

Anoka High School All-Class Reunion
The reunion will take place after the Halloween Lite Up the Night Parade on Saturday, Oct. 20. Classmates will meet on Jackson Street between First and Third Avenues for a mass photo. There will also be live music, beer, and raffles.

Anoka Halloween Happenings
