Trying to find the love of your life isn't just limited to the internet.
High-priced matchmakers are now getting into the game for people who don't have time to meet a potential spouse online.
The latest census data shows 43 percent of Minnesotans are either single or are single parents; certainly proof that many Minnesotans are looking for love.
KSTP visited with Janis Spindel who calls herself the modern-day matchmaker.
She works out of New York City but is in Minneapolis Wednesday trying to find a mate for a male client of hers.
Her prices don't come cheap. Spindel's services start at $100,000, going as high as $500,000.
Her goal is to leave no stone unturned until her male clients find a wife.
Another business that uses people to match clients is called 'It's Just Lunch'.
The service has been around for more than 20 years.
Matchmakers look through files trying to find men and women who are right for each other.
The company follows up with clients to see how the date went and offers suggestions on how to make future dates a little smoother.
Prices for the service start at $2,200.
