Tickets are now available for a gala concert by the musicians of the Minnesota Orchestra.

The musicians are currently in a lockout, and technically cannot put on an Orchestra performance. However, they have organized a performance of their own for Thursday, October 18. It is at 7:30 p.m. at the Minneapolis Convention Center Auditorium.

This event replaces the opening night concert that was canceled by the Minnesota Orchestral Association, along with the majority of the fall season. The musicians were locked out on October 1.

The musicians will perform Antonin Dvorak’s Cello Concerto in B Minor, Opus 104. After an intermission, they will perform Dmitri Shostakovich’s Symphony No.5 in D Minor, Opus 47.

The Conductor Laureate of the Minnesota Orchestra, Stanislaw Skrowaczewski, will conduct both performance.

Tickets start at $15, and go up to $40 per seat. They are available for purchase on the musicians website, or by calling 800-514-3849, extension 2.
