It’s getting chilly, and you don’t want your family to get caught by the flu season. The CDC said the virus is unpredictable, and that is why it is important to have a game plan.
KSTP talked to Soccer Superstar and Mother Brandy Chastain and Pediatrician Annette Finegold about making your game plan for the sickness season.
The CDC recommended a seasonal influenza vaccine for everyone who is eligible in the U.S. six months and older.
Chastain said that as a mother, the best thing you can do is keep your children healthy with keeping them active, feeding them healthy snacks and food and making sure they wash their hands frequently.
When kids are in school touching everything, it is important that they wash their hands on a regular basis, Chastain said.
