The president and CEO of the NAACP will be visiting the University of Minnesota this Friday.
Benjamin Jealous will be in Minnesota for an international conference on economic inequality. The World Conference on Remedies to Racial and Ethnic Economic Inequality aims to come up with practical results that can be applied at the local level.
Jealous will be the keynote speaker at the event’s dinner. It also coincides with the 20th anniversary of the Humphrey School’s Roy Wilkins Center for Human Relations and Social Justice.
The conference takes place Friday at the Humphrey School. The conference is free and open to the public, but registration is required at www.roywilkins.umn.edu. Dinner costs $125 per person.
