Republican Rep. John Kline has a healthy bank balance for the final weeks of his race against Democrat Mike Obermueller in Minnesota's 2nd District.
Kline's campaign said Friday he had $1.4 million to spend at the start of October, after raising $286,000 from late July through the end of September.
Kline has now raised $2.1 million this election cycle.
Obermueller has yet to report his fundraising for the period. Federal reports are due Monday. The district covers the southern Twin Cities suburbs and towns including Wabasha and Northfield.
