Dozens gathered Sunday to remember a little boy hit and killed by a car. Four-year-old Jose Manuel was hit while chasing a ball into the street on East 26th Street and 11th Avenue South in Minneapolis last month. Police say the driver couldn't avoid him.
Community members held a walking vigil Sunday to grieve and to call for safer streets.
"When this happened, it struck a lot of people that the time has come for change," said walk organizer Jeff Carlson.
Organizers say their biggest concern is how fast traffic goes, especially near the park where kids play.
