Target and Best Buy are trying to take on to win over customers for holiday shopping.

Both brick-and-mortar stores are bringing back price matching. They both pledge to offer the same prices in stores as major Internet retailers. Best Buy has blamed its recent financial struggles on what it calls “showrooming.” It describes the activity of shoppers looking at items while physically in a store, then buying the products at a lower price online.

Best Buy is also getting into the tablet business. Starting November 11, it will sell a tablet with a 9.7-inch display that runs Google’s Android operating system. The tablet is called “Insignia Flex.” It will cost about $250.

This comes as other companies are preparing new tables. Microsoft is taking orders for its Windows 8-based “Surface” tablet, which comes out next week.

The Target in Maple Grove is located at 15300 Grove Circle North, Maple Grove, MN, 55369.
