Piles of bricks and debris are all that remains of a western Minnesota hotel after an early morning fire.
Witnesses saw smoke coming from the basement of the Columbian Hotel in Ortonville early Friday morning. When crews arrived, it was engulfed.
The hotel was built in the 1860s and was in the process of being renovated.
Crews say the building is a total loss.
