Hunters can bring wolf carcasses to the Carlos Avery DNR Facility Tuesday for inspections.
Pelts and carcasses must be inspected before the pelt is sold or removed from the state.
To speed up the inspections, hunters are asked to bring in the following information to be registered: sex, method of take, date harvested and county, township and range where harvested. Hunters and trappers need to skin the animal before bringing it in for inspection and are responsible for getting rid of the carcass after the inspection.
The facility is located at 5463 West Broadway Ave., which is also the site of the Wildlife Science Center. Officials from the Wildlife Science Center will be available to answer questions throughout the inspections.
Carcass inspections take place from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tuesday.
