A new study is linking the flu and autism.

An American Academy of Pediatrics study says children whose mothers had the flu during pregnancy had twice the risk of being diagnosed with autism before age three.

Children whose mothers had a fever for more than a week during pregnancy had three times the risk.

Danish researchers say more research is needed, and the study is not identifying a specific cause of autism.
