Twin Cities Habitat for Humanity not only builds homes, but it also reaches out to veterans.
In September, volunteers helped replace the roof and worked on the foundation and sidewalk at the home of a National Guard soldier.
Work like this is why Habitat for Humanity is getting Yellow Ribbon status Tuesday. It’s the first nonprofit in the state with that distinction.
The Yellow Ribbon honors agencies that assist veterans in readjusting to life after military service.
