The deadline is nearing to nominate someone for the Teacher of the Year award.
From Oct. 1 to Nov. 15, Minnesotans can nominate their favorite educators for the 2013 Minnesota Teacher of the Year award. Names can be submitted online at educationminnesota.org.
The winner will be named at a ceremony in May 2013 and will go on to compete for the national title.
To be eligible, educators must teach in a pre-kindergarten through 12th grade school, have a Minnesota teaching license and bachelor’s degree, complete at least three years of teaching by the nomination deadline, and intend to teach during the 2013-14 school year.
