A new report finds big growth for charter schools in the Twin Cities.

More than one in five students in Minneapolis attend a public charter school. Last year in Minneapolis, enrollment was up 20 percent from the year before.

Three other districts enroll more than 10 percent of total students in charter schools. They are St. Paul, Robbinsdale, and Duluth.

Nationwide, more than 2 million students attend charter schools.
