I love watching movies and I can watch them all day.  As you may know or may not know, I am a huge fan of horror films.

Horror is my favorite genre, but I also like comedies, dramas, action movies, documentaries, and will watch just about anything. I am easily entertained.

I was very excited when I discovered that Mill Creek has a series of DVD sets called “Hollywood Hits.” The DVD sets have four movies from the same kind of genre. There are comedies, horror movies, action movies, plus many more.

I just received a review copy of a romantic comedy “Hollywood Hits” and I really enjoyed it.

The four movies that were on it were:

I was very entertained by the movies in “Hollywood Hits. It has been a few years since I’ve seen a few of them and the only movie that I had not seen was “Life Without Dick.”

“Saving Silverman” stars Jason Biggs, Jack Black and Amanda Peet and is about two friends who try to save their friendship with a third friend who has been brainwashed by a cold-hearted woman.

“Little Black Book” stars Brittan Murphy, Holly Hunter, Kathy Bates, and Ron Livingston and is about a girl who is hired to work on a tabloid television show and she discovers a secret on her boyfriend’s palm pilot while she is doing research for a theme of a show.

“Hexed” stars Arye Gross, Claudia Christian and Norman Fell and is about a pathological liar who meets a fashion model who is a murderer.

“Life Without Dick” stars Sara Jessica Parker, Harry Connic Jr., and Johnny Knoxville and is about a woman who accidentally kills her boyfriend and befriends an assassin. She eventually learns that the assassin was hired to kill her dead boyfriend that is in her basement.

The DVD set contained two DVD’s and there were two movies on each DVD.

I really thought that the quality of the films was pretty good and the audio sounded great as well.

In my opinion I think that if you are going to do a movie set or a collection of movies of the same genre all of the movies should fit nicely together. I have seen a lot of movie collections where there is a movie or two that is on the DVD that should not be on there.

It seemed like the people creating the set needed one or two more movies to fill space and they just threw them on there.

Mill Creek has always had a great selection of movies in their DVD sets and collections. They have never disappointed me yet.

I would highly recommend that you check out Mill Creek’s “Hollywood Hits” DVD sets. There are a lot to choose from and each one has four very entertaining movies on them. I know that I am going to check out their horror “Hollywood Hits” next.
