Two historic buildings have new homes. Crews worked overnight to move the Shoddy Mill and Warehouse from Oak Park Heights to the banks of the St. Croix in downtown Stillwater.
They were hoisted up on platforms and rolled down Highways 95 and 36.
The buildings were moved to make way for the new St. Croix River Bridge.
Stillwater Mayor Ken Harycki says the historic mill could be used as a trail-side rest stop for bicyclists and pedestrians using the the new trail that will be going along the riverfront. He also says water and sewer lines will be added to the buildings.
