Racing enthusiasts will have an extra week of fun at Canterbury Park next year. On Thursday the state racing commission gave the go ahead for a 69-day schedule.
Races will start May 17 and run through September 14.
Canterbury officials had originally requested a 68-day schedule but changed that last week. This year's schedule was 62 days.
Races will start at 7 p.m. on Thursdays and Fridays and weekend and holiday races will start at 1:30 p.m.
The additional days will make the 2013 season the longest since 2006 when the same number of days were conducted.
