Target employees who were on lockdown for several hours Friday say they felt informed and that there was a clear emergency plan in place.

Some of them said there was information on the building's PA every fifteen minutes.

Local security expert Larry Yatch with "Sealed Mindset" says every business should have an emergency plan. But, as many as half of them don't. ... Especially small to medium-sized companies.

He says communication should be a key part in any plan, as it was Friday afternoon.

Once a plan is in place it should be practiced on a quarterly basis.
