A Minnetonka woman charged for allegedly sending inappropriate messages to a 17-year-old student entered a plea deal Wednesday.
Twenty-six-year-old Jenna Schultz is accused of sending a nude photo of herself to a student via text message at Simley High School in Inver Grove Heights, where she student taught.
She is charged with two counts of stalking, both felonies, and one count of contributing to the delinquency of a minor.
In Schultz's amended plea Wednesday, she pleaded guilty to contributing to the delinquency of a minor.
According to a criminal complaint, Schultz began to message the student on Facebook May 11, sending the teen her cell phone number.
The two began to exchange texts and later that day, Schultz sent the teen a nude photo of herself.
Schultz later asked the student about sending a photo of himself and questioned him about whether he was in a relationship, according to the complaint.
The teen, who showed the photo to other students, reported the exchange to authorities, saying he'd cut off all contact with Schultz because she was "annoying" him.
According to the complaint, Schultz told authorities she did not recall text messaging the student or sending the photo and that she must have been really drunk.
Schultz's December jury trial was canceled and sentencing is set for February.
