A 34-year-old Crow Wing County man was charged in connection with a shooting during a robbery July 6 in St. Paul.
According to the Ramsey County Attorney, 34-year-old Andre Johnson was charged with two counts of murder in the second degree and two counts of assault in the second degree.
According to the criminal complaint Johnson plotted with his mother to rob Roy Burgess.
Around midnight July 6 Johnson allegedly confronted Burgess with a rifle and shot both Burgess and his friend.
Burgess died at the scene, and his friend was treated for gunshot wounds.
Johnson's bail was set at $1,000,000.
