Two men were arrested after leading police on a chase from Wisconsin to Minnesota.

According to authorities, 29-year-old Ernest Atchison was wanted on felony warrants that include theft, robbery, fleeing the police, and violating his probation on a previous drug offense conviction.

Deputies tried to arrest Atchison on Wednesday, but he led police on a high speed chase that was called off due to safety concerns.

Deputies located Atchison in Hudson, Wisconsin Thursday. Deputies saw Atchison and another man leave the Super 8 Hotel in a white SUV.

Deputies from the St. Croix County Sheriff's Office tried to stop the vehicle. The driver allegedly rammed the squad car and headed westbound on I-94 into Minnesota.

The SUV led police on a chase, and exited at 694 and Highway 5 in Oakdale. Both of the suspects left the car.

Atchison was arrested outside of L.A. Fitness, while the other man was arrested inside the gym's locker room area.

L.A. Fitness was locked down during the incident as a precaution.

Atchison was booked at Ramsey County Jail on his outstanding warrants.

The driver was taken to the Washington County Jail where he is being detained.
