A mom who didn't have custody of her two children is facing charges after taking them from a foster home.

According to Blue Earth County Sheriff's Office, 21-year-old Reina Marie Gandarilla is charged with one count Depriving Another of Custodial or Parental Rights.

Police say she took her 2-year-old, and 4-month-old from a foster home in Pemberton last Tuesday.

Gandarilla told the foster parents she was taking 2-year-old Isiaah and 4-month-old Iyanna to the doctor, but she then disappeared – taking everything with her.

A national alert was sent out Wednesday morning to try to find the two children and Gandarilla.

The Blue Earth County Sheriff's Office says they found Gandarilla and both kids safe at Budget Host Motel in Mankato.

She was taken into custody, and is in a Blue Earth County Jail.
