The University of Minnesota’s basketball and football coaches are the two highest paid employees at the university.

The St. Cloud Times found that basketball coach Tubby Smith earned nearly $1.9 million for the fiscal year, which ended in June.

Football coach Jerry Kill made more than $1.2 million.

The third highest paid was university president Eric Kaler with just more than $588,000.
