A 20-year-old man has been charged after admitting to burglarizing his neighbor’s home.

Centennial Lakes Police Officers were called to the 3600 block of Restwood Road in Lexington around 5:54 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 2, on a report of a burglary.

The man said he left his house at noon to watch the Vikings game and came home at 4 p.m. to find several things missing from his house, including a Nintendo Wii video game system, a Sony Playstation 3 video game system, a Wii game, and five beers. He said it looked like someone came into the house through a window.

A search through the Automated Pawn System showed that 20-year-old Joshua Thomas Anthony Winston of Blaine pawned several items from the victim’s house at the Coon Rapids Pawn America, according to the criminal complaint. The victim said Winston is his neighbor.

Winston admitted the burglary to police.

Winston has been charged with second degree burglary. If convicted, he faces up to 10 years in prison and up to $20,000 in fines.
