Apple Valley trailed by double digits in the first half, and lost superstar junior Tyus Jones for the game.  Yet a strong second half rally allowed them to come-from-behind to beat Hopkins 73-64.

Jones, who had been battling back spasms, was questionable for the game in the first place. Midway through the first half, he stumbled - appearing to tweak his ankle.  He left the game with a slight limp and headed to the locker room, reappearing for the second half on the bench in street clothes.

Senior guard Dustin Fronk spearheaded the Eagles' second half rally with five three pointers, and a three-point play that gave Apple Valley the lead for good.  Fronk ended up with 27.  Dennis Austin also scored 18 for the Eagles.

Hopkins' Jamal Davis scored 17.  Jake Wright had 14 for the Royals.
