There’s no pro hockey on ice because of the NHL lockout, but we know of at least one battle off of it – and it’s tied to Mall of America.
The Toronto Maple Leafs’ James van Riemsdyk lost a bet with the Philadelphia Flyers’ Scott Hartnell to see who could raise the most money for Hurricane Sandy relief.
Hartnell raised $22,000 and van Riemsdyk raised $18,000.
Because Hartnell won, van Riemsdyk is going to be shopping at Mall of America Wednesday morning -- and doing it in full hockey gear.
