Vikings running back Adrian Peterson plans to partner with the Mall of America to donate 1,812 toys to The Salvation Army.
The reason for the specific number of toys is because that is the number of game yards he looks to reach by the end of the season.
The Salvation Army sent an urgent call for a need for toys because thousands of families are scheduled to shop at The Salvation Army now through Saturday.
"With the holidays approaching, many of us recognize how fortunate we are and how many families are hurting," Peterson said. "This was a perfect opportunity to join forces with Mall of America and brighten so many children's lives."
