Several elected officials in Mower County have been given raises ranging from about $1,000 to $5,000 per year.
An Austin Daily Herald report (http://bit.ly/Vbqyu1 ) says county commissioners approved salary increases last week for four officials plus other non-union employees starting next year.
County Attorney Kristen Nelsen will get the biggest increase. Her salary goes up from about $96,000 to about $101,500.
Sheriff Terese Amazi's salary will rise about $1,000 to $92,400. Recorder Jill Cordes gets a raise from about $54,000 to $55,600, and auditor/treasurer Doug Groh will make about $69,400, an increase of about $1,200.
Non-union employees will see raises of about 1 percent.
