A major producer of chicken in the Midwest is suing a supplier after having to destroy thousands of pounds of product.
Gold'n Plump poultry, based in St. Cloud, has filed a lawsuit against Illinois-based Wenda America.
Gold'n Plump accuses Wenda of delivering ingredients not approved for use in poultry products in the United States. As a result, the company says it had to destroy the chicken that included the ingredient, costing it at least $50,000.
Wenda has not yet filed a response.
