Mpls Police: Man Breaks Into Home, Sexually Assaults Woman

Police are searching for a suspect after a woman was sexually assaulted inside a Minneapolis home.

According to Minneapolis Police, a man broke into a home near East 31st Street and 18th Avenue South around 5 a.m. Tuesday.

The unknown suspect forced his way into the home by cutting the screen on an unlocked window, that was covered by plastic. 

A woman inside the home was sexually assaulted, before the man left.

The suspect is described as a black man with dark skin, about 20 to 30-years-old, with a medium build, 5'8" to 5'10" tall. He had a goatee and was wearing a black baseball cap, with an unknown symbol on it. He was also wearing a black letterman jacket with the basketball team 'The New York Knicks' on the back, and dark, baggie jeans.
