A 67-year-old woman is in critical condition after spending Friday night trapped in her car partially submerged in a Plymouth pond.
The woman, who has not been identified, was rescued after a passerby spotted the car around noon Saturday.
Authorities said she lost control sometime Friday night and ran off the road and into the pond near 10th Avenue North and Revere Lane. The car was overturned on the driver's side and had about a foot of water inside.
Road conditions were wet and icy Friday night. Temperatures dropped from near 40 degrees at midnight to about 15 degrees by 8 a.m. Saturday.
The woman was originally taken to North Memorial Medical Center and is now at Hennepin County Medical Center. It was initially reported that she had been released from the hospital, but that information has since been updated.
