A $500 reward is being offered for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the person responsible for a hit-and-run in Coon Rapids.
According to the Coon Rapids Police Department, a community service officer was on the side of westbound Highway 10 near Hanson Blvd. Saturday at about 7:48 p.m., when he was hit by a dark colored SUV.
The officer's emergency lights were on at the time of the crash. The vehicle didn't stop after hitting the officer.
The officer was taken to Mercy Hospital with injuries, and is now recovering at home.
