U of M President Eric Kaler took his budget plan to the state capitol today and it comes with a hefty price tag.
He wants nearly $1.2 billion dollars over the next two years. That's an eight-percent increase over the last two years.
But Kaler points out it's about the same amount the U of M received in 2001 and it would allow for a two-year tuition freeze.
